Last month, in the final weeks of 2020, Priscilla Presley sold her posh Beverly Hills estate of several decades for $13 million to a woman from Mainland China by way of Anaheim, California. Now the 75-year-old actress and business mogul, famously married to Elvis Presley from 1967 until ’73, has downsized to a stylish penthouse in Le Parc, a gated complex of multimillion-dollar condos in the heart of L.A.’s bustling Century City neighborhood.
Like the rest of its building, the penthouse was built in 1979 but recently underwent a full-scale interior renovation courtesy of KMNelson Design. Described in the listing as an “Exquisite European contemporary penthouse,” the 3,200-square-foot unit now sports a sophisticated if distinctly feminine design motif, with gallons of pale pink paint and pink velvet couches, plus a soothing mix of blues, lavenders, and wallpaper.
White oak hardwood floors flow throughout the public spaces. A foyer connects to the living room, where there’s a stone fireplace and wet bar, convenient for serving guests. The formal dining room opens to a slim balcony, while the less formal den is done up as a sort of semi-professional screening room with an upgraded sound system and acoustics. The all-white kitchen doesn’t include an island, but the open design and acres of countertop space will please all chefs, as will the top-of-the-line Wolf and SubZero appliances and the marble finishes.
In addition to the powder room, there are three large bedrooms, each of them with freshly renovated ensuite baths. The master suite sports a bedroom with its own crystal chandelier, plus a marble-slathered bathroom with dual vanities, a separate makeup station, skylights, and a steam shower.
For the privilege of living at Le Parc, Presley can expect to cough up an eye-popping $2,951 per month in HOA dues. Those fees buy her access to the compound’s vast array of amenities, which include two deeded parking spots, 24/7 guard-gated security, a communal swimming pool, tennis courts, and a clubhouse. Directly above Presley’s penthouse is a top-floor terrace with pool and garden views.
Lori Hashman Berris of Sotheby’s International Realty held the listing; Jonah Wilson of Hilton & Hyland repped Presley.
