Property records reveal Alexander Skarsgård has surreptitiously sold his glassy, low-slung bachelor pad in the hills above L.A.’s celeb-sprinkled Los Feliz area in an off-market deal for $2.9 million. The buyer’s identity is shielded behind an inscrutable blind trust, but our dear and nearly omniscient informant Lucy Spillerguts swears the new owner is professional sports heiress and busy actress Rooney Mara, the Oscar-nominated star of David Fincher-directed “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” and the upcoming “The Girl Who Played With Fire.”
Property records and other online resources indicate the “True Blood” beau hunk — who will don an itty-bitty loincloth in the upcoming 3D reboot of the classic adventure film “Tarzan” — purchased the property via trust in March 2012 for $1.85 million. Since the most recent sale went down on the down low, we can’t consult up-to-date digital listing details, but online marketing materials from the time of the Swedish actor’s acquisition show that the 1960s-era, single-story contemporary was designed by architect Phil Brown, and caps an elevated quarter-acre hillside parcel at the end of a winding cul-de-sac.
The not quite 2,500-square-foot residence has — or had — two bathrooms and two bedrooms plus a den/office off the kitchen that could easily be a third bedroom. An oversized foyer divides the bedroom wing from the main living area: a 30-plus-foot-long combination living/dining room with wood floors, wood-burning fireplace and two entire walls of floor-to-ceiling windows and glass sliders. A slender deck, shaded by deep eaves and cantilevered over the hillside, wraps around two sides of the living room with panoramic city-lights view, while the adjoining kitchen has a window-lined breakfast nook and convenient, direct access to a two-car garage.
