Just over a month after reality television pioneer and professional red-carpet critic Kelly Osbourne up and quit her five-year post slinging sartorial shade on “Fashion Police,” she’s caught a classic case of the Celebrity Real Estate Fickle, and flipped a residence at the base of the celebrated Bird Streets ’hood, just above the Sunset Strip, back on the market after less than a year of ownership with an asking price of $1.99 million. Property records show Osbourne paid, via trust, exactly $2 million for the property last July.
The sassy, lavender-tressed rock ’n’ roll heiress’s older and publicity-shunning sister, Aimee Osbourne, has owned the house next door since the summer of 2007, when she bought it for $2.35 million from Steven Spielberg’s actress stepdaughter Jessica Capshaw. It, too, is mid-renovation and — as it turns out — also newly listed at $1.99 million. We’re not sure exactly what’s motivated the sisters’ simultaneous decisions to sell, but online marketing materials for both homes state, “Sellers plans have changed and project halted” and that the properties are “available together or separately.”
Listing details show Kelly’s house, originally built in 1961, has three bedrooms and three bathrooms in 2,538 square feet, while Aimee’s architecturally similar house, also built in 1961, measures in at a more modest 2,038 square feet with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Both homes are set on tiny, 10,500-ish-square-foot lots on a narrow private lane, and have attached two-car garages, canyon and city view balconies on the front and swimming pools, and spas out back.
