BUYER: Lucy Hale
LOCATION: Studio City, CA
SIZE: 3,618 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms
YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: We first heard from real estate yenta Yolanda Yakketyyak before we heard from wickedly well informed informant Lucy Spillerguts that it was 25-year old singer and “Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale who (via blind trust) shelled out $1.735 million for up an approximately 10-year old vaguely Mediterranean style abode on a steep slope on a secluded street in the rugged mountains between Studio City and Beverly Hills.
Honestly, children, Your Mama would never have heard of this young lady who got her showbiz start back in 2003 on some reality-based televised singing competition we’ve never heard of before (“American Juniors”) except that “Pretty Little Liars” — or, more simply, just P.L.L. in fan parlance — happens to be the boob-toob guilty pleasure of our burly brother-in-law, Prison Warden Pete, so we’ve occasionally sat through an episode of the hyper melodramatic teen mystery-thriller. Anyhoodles…
Carved wood gates open to a high-walled courtyard between the street and the multi-level residence that listing details show has four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms in 3,618 square feet. It’s a half a flight down from the foyer to a combination living/dining room with wood floors, partly vaulted ceilings and several sets of wood-framed glass doors that to open to wrought iron railed Juliet balconies with open canyon views. The adjoining center island kitchen has rustic flagstone tile floors juxtaposed against sleek flat-fronted cabinetry, granite counter tops and higher-grade stainless steel appliances and somewhere in the house there’s a fully carpeted family room/den.
The master suite, as per digital marketing materials, has a (gas) fireplace set at an angle in the corner next to glass doors that open to a canyon view terrace, a bathroom fitted with two sinks, jetted tub and separate, glass enclosed shower stall and what listing details describe as a “dynamic walk in closet-dressing area.”
A series of decks linked by exterior stairs stair step down to a wee patch of grass with a plunge-sized saltwater swimming pool with lap swimming resistance jets and and adjacent, semi-permanent tented cabana for shady poolside lounging.
