YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: After a long and well-documented search for a posh and pricey pad in Manhattan, entrepreneurial showbiz supernova Jennifer Lopez has finally settled — so said the property gossips at the New York Post — for a suburban mini-mansion sized duplex penthouse in a swanky, four-unit boutique building across the street from Madison Square Park. The penthouse was once listed for $25 million but was last on the market for $22.5 million.
The Georgian-style building, originally erected in 1924, offers is handful residents a full-time doorman, a refrigerated package room, key-lock elevators with private elevator landings, a small gym and private storage spaces in the basement. Other residents in the building include: former first daughter Chelsea Clinton and her husband Marc Mezvinsky who, in July 2013, paid $9.25 million for their nearly 5,000-square-foot spread; financial services fat cat John Silvetz and his model wife Wilda Deon Bray who paid $10 million for their nearly 5,000-square-foot spread in July 2013; and NASCAR superstar Jeff Gordon who also paid $10 million for his nearly 5,000-square-foot apartment in August of 2013.
