Hardworking entertainment industry juggernaut Jennifer Lopez — she sings, dances, acts, produces and sells oceans of mid-priced perfume — must be getting pretty itchy to unload her big ol’ mansion in L.A.’s Hidden Hills enclave, because she has, in one fell swoop, chopped an exceptionally elephantine two million smackers off the asking price, which now stands at $12.5 million. Lopez, who stars in the TV series “Shades of Blue” and recently began a lucrative 20-concert residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, purchased the lavishly customized and glamorously turned-out 17,000-plus-square-foot manse in 2010 for $8.2 million, and originally put the three-plus-acre estate up for sale on the open market more than a year ago, with an in-hindsight too sanguine price of $17.5 million.
In addition to ample formal living and dining rooms, a paneled study and a capacious kitchen open to an even bigger family room that overlooks the swimming pool, the main residence’s eight bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms include a major master suite replete with sitting area, private terrace, onyx-floored bathroom and two walk-in closets. A two-story entertainment wing comprises a deluxe staff apartment, 1,000-square-foot lounge and poker nook, 20-seat theater, combination gym-and-dance studio, professional recording studio, and an extensive dressing room with four walk-in closets, massage room, and hair and makeup salon.
The Bronx-born star’s East Coast holdings include a two-acre spread in the hoity-toity Hamptons that she acquired in 2013 for a smidgen less than $10 million; and in 2014, she coughed up $22.5 million for a mansion-sized duplex penthouse in a small Manhattan building, where one of her neighbors is Chelsea Clinton.
