Veteran character actor Bob Odenkirk, best known by the TV viewing public for his role as a lovably shady attorney on “Breaking Bad” — and star of spinoff “Better Call Saul” — splashed out $3.3 million on new digs in the pricey, celeb-filled foothills above Hollywood. The Spanish style house was originally built in the 1940s, per digital marketing materials, and is configured with five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms in 2,827 square feet.
The fully renovated and updated interiors, worked over by interior designer Betsy Burnham, include formal living and dining rooms and a gourmet kitchen that’s open to a family room with fireplace. The outdoor spaces, which include a walled entry courtyard and a flat backyard with swimmer’s pool, spa and built-in banquettes around a fire pit, were done up per listing details by illustrious L.A.-based landscape designer Judy Kameon and, we discovered, featured in Martha Stewart Living magazine.
Odenkirk and his wife sold a refurbished midcentury modern in the hills above Los Feliz in December for $2.45 million, and our research shows he and the missus also own a more humble turn-of-the-20th-century bungalow in the Bronson Canyon area of the Hollywood Hills that they scooped up for unknown purposes in November 2010 for $675,000.
