Your Mama hears from veteran informant Babbling Babette that George Clooney’s b.f.f. business partner Grant Heslov has covertly floated his half-acre Sherman Oaks micro-estate on the market as a whisper listing with a $3.9 million pricetag. Property records show that the usually goateed Tinseltown veteran has owned the 5,628-square-foot picket-fenced and clapboard-sided house since late 2006, when he picked it up for $3.125 million. As it turns out, this isn’t the first time the Oscar winner and his philanthropic missus, Lysa, have attempted to unload their five-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom home. In early 2009, they hoisted the house on the open market for $3.495 million. By early 2010, when it was taken off the market, the price had fallen to $3.195 million.
Digital marketing materials and other resources we perused show the two-story residence has wood floors throughout much of the main floor, which includes formal living and dining rooms — the former with fireplace — an open kitchen, and a family room with vaulted ceiling, second fireplace and convenient access to the backyard.
There’s a third fireplace in the private den of the master suite that also includes a walk-in closet and private patio. Long banks of French doors lead out to a broad, red-brick terrace that looks out over a flat lawn, with steps down to the rear of the property to a tree-shaded and foliage-encircled flagstone terrace and swimming pool.
