Dodgers star Yasiel Puig, nicknamed the Wild Horse by legendary broadcaster Vin Scully, has splashed out $2.65 million on a gated residence in a coveted neighborhood of Encino, Calif.
The almost 5,300-square-foot home, a Mediterranean villa mixed with a Monterey colonial built in 2002 with five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, features gleaming medium-brown hardwood throughout the main-floor living and entertaining spaces. The formal living room has a fireplace, and there are lighted built-in china cabinets in the formal dining room. A tiny butler’s pantry connects the dining room to a generously sized and expensively outfitted kitchen that’s open over a huge granite-topped center island with a snack bar to a roomy breakfast bay and family room with a fireplace, a built-in media cabinet and French doors to the yard.
There’s a guest or staff suite on the ground floor and three more family bedrooms on the second floor, one en suite and two that share a Jack ’n’ Jill bathroom, plus an oversize master suite. Though the property did not sell, he had it on the market during the late summer and early fall of this year at $2.3 million.
