SELLER: Adam Levine

SIZE: (approx.) 7,100 square feet, 5 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms
YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: Three months after he first hoisted his freshly rehabbed mid-century modern inspired estate in Beverly Hills up for sale on the open market, rock star and televised singing competition judge Adam Levine has dropped the asking price to $15.95 million, an elephantine $1.55 million chop to the eye-catching but in-hindsight rose-tinted $17 million price tag with which it was originally saddled. The 3.6-acre estate, in a little known gated enclave that runs along a slender ridge high above Beverly Hills, was purchased by the heavily tatted Maroon 5 front man not quite four years ago, in October 2012, for $4.83 million and subsequently taken down to the studs and rebuilt with what current marketing materials describe as “architectural perfection and timeless style.”
The meandering, multi-winged residence measures in at about 7,100-square-feet with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, according to marketing materials, along with “one of the best and most dramatic living/great rooms in Los Angeles,” a “gourmet kitchen” with book-matched walnut or perhaps teak cabinetry, and a den/library with built-in bookshelves that incorporate a large television and a shag rug so thick we have to imagine it’s just easier to throw it out than to vacuum. A plush and monochromatic, all-blue media lounge/screening room has state-of-the-art projection system while a separate structure contains a “gym/spa” where the unfairly attractive couple keeps their bodies fit, trim and camera ready. There’s also a two-story “car collector’s garage with elevated lift” and a “speak easy” style card room. Vast walls of glass in most rooms provide panoramic mountain and canyon views and slide open to charcoal colored flagstone terracing, a swimming pool with nearby spa set into a grassy patch, and a lighted tennis court converted to a basketball court.
“The Voice” judge and the his currently preggers Victoria Secret model wife, Behati Prinsloo, additionally maintain a quintessential New York City loft on a cobblestone street in a classic cast-iron boutique building in the bustling heart of Soho that was purchased in August 2014 for $4.5 million — shortly after their star-studded wedding in Mexico — and put up for sale in April of this year — the month after it was announced they’re expecting a baby — at $5.5 million. Online listings for the 2,800-square-foot boho-glam one-bedroom and two-bathroom loft show it is currently in contract to be sold for an unknown amount to an unknown buyer.
