Angelenos with itchy feet, giant bank accounts and a taste for the finer things in life now have the option to pick up tasteful pieces of art before jetting from the ultra-exclusive PS (Private Suite) at Los Angeles International Airport. Creative Art Partners recently teamed up with LAX to curate a 42-piece buyable art collection housed in the suite.
PS at LAX offers a white glove service that makes flying commercial feel almost as exclusive as flying private. Established in 2017, the PS is an independent, private terminal located within LAX. The service offers fast-paced security screenings with TSA agents, access to fine dining, a five-star spa, personal suites, a BMW escort to your flight and, now, the ability to pick up a piece of fine art while on the go.
CAP, the world’s largest art leasing and exhibition platform, currently has 42 artworks that represent more than 25 international artists on display at the PS. “The vision for the collection at PS was to bring together an incredible group of international artists to reflect the well-travelled lifestyles of the members,” said Brian Ludlow, founder of Creative Art Partners.
The interiors of the space are currently being redesigned by Cliff Fong, a New York-born, Los Angeles-based designer who’s been in the game for over two decades and has done up homes for a slew of celebs including James Franco, Ryan Murphy and Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. As the interiors of PS change, the artwork on the walls will as well to reflect the new ambiance.
“Creative Art Partners has programmed the PS art curation for a year now, and more than ever, we find that our guests are appreciative of the escapism that travel experiences offer,” said Amina Belouizdad, Co-CEO of P/S. “The selection reflects all things PS — personal, collected, and unexpected. Through our interior redesign with Cliff Fong, and the unveiling of our culinary concept with The h.wood Group, we are truly doubling down on all the makings of the PS experience, providing elements that can only be found here.”
PS is currently located solely at LAX, but it has plans to expand to other major airports throughout the U.S. For now, its L.A. location is the exclusive place for a peaceful airport experience while admiring fine art.
