Back in March, prolific TV show runner Nahnatchka Khan (“Young Rock,” “Fresh Off the Boast”) dropped $5 million on an all-new Hollywood Hills mansion. But determined not to be outdone by his sister, Nick Khan has gone house-shopping too, settling on a $7.6 million mansion in the posh Riviera section of Pacific Palisades.
It certainly helps that this Nick Khan is the Nick Khan — the high-powered former CAA agent and, since last year, the president of wrestling juggernaut WWE, reporting directly to Vince McMahon with a multimillion-dollar salary. The Las Vegas native, a wrestling fan since childhood, transitioned into his new role last year and is now officially based at the company’s Stamford, Conn. headquarters, but apparently plans to maintain a luxe residential foothold in California.
Khan, who’s already negotiated a landmark, billion-dollar deal to air WWE Network exclusively on NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service in his short time on the job, now holds the deed to a chic 1920s Mediterranean-style estate extensively remodeled and expanded in 2018 by Bravo TV’s “Flipping Out” star Jeff Lewis.
Behind a grand circular motor court and two driveway gates, the snazzy interiors contain 8,000 square feet of open living space on three levels. Highlights include soaring ceilings and Boen Chaletino oak sand hardwood flooring; there’s also a wealth of modern conveniences, including numerous remote-controlled skylights, Sonos and Lutron smart-home systems, a whole-house water filtration system by LifeSource, 12-camera surveillance system and color LED lighting throughout.
An entrance gallery is flanked by a custom office featuring built-in file drawers, a supply closet and separate entrance. Beyond that, the mammoth great room holds dining and living areas. A wall of glass doors opens to reveal a secluded, resort-like backyard with a 40-foot pool and spa, plus an outdoor bath, built-in outdoor kitchen, firepit, vegetable garden and putting green.
