Back in 2020, billionaire tech entrepreneur Chad Richison — one of Oklahoma’s richest men, the founder and CEO of payroll processor Paycom — dropped $26 million on a dramatic blufftop Malibu mansion overlooking the Pacific. Now his sister Shannon Rowe has completed her own Malibu house-shopping trip, splashing out nearly $15 million on an equally arresting beachfront residence in a guard-gated enclave.
Rowe — who helped launch Paycom with her younger sibling, beginning as vice president of operations in 1998 — now holds the deed to a chic 1990s architectural-style structure that recently underwent an extensive remodel.
Securely tucked away behind gates and a two-car garage, on an almost quarter-acre parcel featuring 70 feet of beach frontage, the contemporary home has five bedrooms and six baths in almost 4,800 square feet of Lisa Price-designed living space boasting oil-rubbed, wide-plank oak floors and high ceilings dressed with designer light fixtures. Large expanses of glass also provide sweeping coastal views stretching from Santa Monica to Point Dume.
A striking foyer is ensconced within a sky-lit atrium spotlighted by a curving structural staircase. Beyond that, the spacious great room holds a wet bar-equipped media room, and an adjacent fireside living room has floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to reveal a slender ocean-front deck. A formal dining area with a built-in credenza adjoins the all-white kitchen, which is outfitted with high-end appliances, an eat-in bar and an accompanying breakfast nook.
Two ensuite bedrooms hold court on the mezzanine level, including an inviting master retreat adorned with a sitting area, an ocean-view balcony, a separate office/fitness room, custom walk-in closet, and marble and limestone bath hosting dual vanities, a dressing area, soaking tub and shower.
