Sarah Jakes Roberts has indeed taken quite a few pages out of her father Bishop T.D. Jakes‘ biblical playbook to success. Not only has the 34-year-old followed in the influential Dallas-based faith leader’s footsteps by serving as co-pastor of two branches of The Potter’s House church in Los Angeles and Denver with her husband Touré Roberts, but she also founded the Women Evolve movement to help females bring out their inner-confidence; and she’s a published author to boot.
Most recently, Jakes Roberts‘ father handed her the reins to his popular women’s-empowerment ministry after 30 years of “Women Thou Art Loosed!” conferences and 45 years of preaching. He plans to continue his role as a senior pastor of his flagship Potter’s House church in Dallas, and has announced a two-year deal to stream his sermons and faith-based interviews on Amazon Freevee starting in December; he’ll also work to expand affordable-housing options and business opportunities in Atlanta and other cities via his real estate ventures.
As for Jakes Roberts’ property-related endeavors, she’s decided to relinquish control of her longtime residence in an exclusive gated enclave in the San Fernando Valley community of Calabasas. Records reveal she and her husband have hoisted the place onto the market, asking a speck under $9.5 million — or nearly $5.5 million more than the couple purchased the Venetian-style mansion for just over two years ago, back in summer 2020.
Built in 2004, the stucco and terracotta-roof structure was recently painted. Inside, features include six bedrooms and eight baths sprawled across almost 9,500 square feet of two-level living space boasting a mix of stone and marble floors, designer light fixtures and high coved ceilings throughout. Other glitzy amenities include a plush chocolate-hued movie theater with leather recliners, gym, an office, upstairs family room, solar panels and a generator.
