Hungarian Billionaire Wants $33 Million for Neoclassical Beverly Park Mansion

Last year, Gyorgy Gattyan — one of Hungary’s richest men — finally unloaded his lavish mansion in the Beverly Hills Flats neighborhood for a whopping $26.4 million.

Now the self-made billionaire and so-called “Porn King” — who made his fortune from online erotica, but has since branched out as the owner of Kodolányi University and co-founder of the Prima Primissima Foundation — is looking to sell his other Los Angeles mansion. This one is located in exclusive Beverly Park, a guard-gated community high in the mountains above Beverly Hills.

Gattyan has newly listed the estate with a $33 million ask — a significant increase over the $24 million he paid real estate developer Bruce Makowsky nine years ago. Before that, the place was the longtime home of comedian-actor Martin Lawrence from 2001-2012.

Built in 1992, the white Neoclassical-style structure comes complete with a seven-bedroom, 10-bath main house featuring just over 13,800 square feet of living space on two levels. Additional structures include a 1,000-square-foot guesthouse that currently serves as a gym, plus an attached four-car garage tucked discreetly off to the side of the X-shaped dwelling.

Nestled on a gated 2.2-acre parcel, and separated from the street out front by a lushly landscaped lawn and cobblestone motorcourt, the main house features a columned portico guarded by a pair of lion sculptures. A soaring double front door opens into ornate interiors punctuated throughout with rich hardwood floors, chandeliers and seamless indoor-outdoor environs.

Highlights include a double-height foyer adorned with marble floors and a winding wrought-iron staircase topped by a striking Salvatore Polizzi stained-glass skylight, as well as a fireside living room and wood-paneled dining room. A cozy family room connects to a gourmet kitchen outfitted with an accompanying breakfast nook.

A plush master retreat occupies the entire south wing of the home, and offers a separate room that can be used as an office or reading area, per the listing, along with a Juliette balcony and walk-in closet. There are dual baths, both equipped with luxe amenities like a sauna, steam shower and soaking tub.

Elsewhere is a game room, wine cellar and movie theater sporting its own concession stand; and the posh amenities continue outdoors, where the manicured grounds host a sprawling grassy lawn, pool with raised spa, tennis court, and several areas ideal for al fresco lounging and entertaining.
