To quote Scheana Shay, the 10th season of “Vanderpump Rules,” which wrapped last week, is “good as gold,” teeming with even more drama than fans of the long-running Bravo reality series have come to expect over the past decade. As Variety reported, the episodes were the show’s “most-watched ever, with an average combined audience of 2.5 million on Bravo, on-demand and the Peacock platform within three days — a 77% increase over last season.” For those living under a rock the past few months, the uptick in viewership is due to Scandoval, aka the shocking cheating scandal recently uncovered between Tom Sandoval, who was in the midst of a nine-year relationship with series queen and fan favorite Ariana Madix, and co-star Raquel Leviss, which categorically turned the Bravoverse on its head!
The intense scrutiny hasn’t died down since, with such news outlets as CNN and The New York Times covering the story and everyone from Kristin Chenoweth to former “Bachelor” Nick Viall to Roy Wood Jr. (at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner no less!) weighing in on the drama. Even comedian Howie Mandel, of all people, flagrantly inserted himself into the narrative by landing Sandoval’s first post-scandal interview, much to “Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen’s chagrin.
In light of the staggering events, DIRT rounded up all the spots where the most salacious scenes went down throughout the first part of the season for a “Vanderpump Rules” mega post in late March. And now we’re back with a follow-up chronicling the most recent episodes.

Image Credit: Bravo Our last post left off at Dreams Natura Resort & Spa, the Cancun lodging where Scheana and Brock Davies were preparing to tie the knot in an “epic” multi-day celebration. Episode nine, “Forbidden Fruit,” picks right back up at the exclusive property, with the “VPR” gang in full pre-wedding mode and making use of the extensive amenities. Shay and her bridesmaids create their own body scrubs at the luxe Dreams Spa by Pevonia, the rehearsal dinner is held at onsite hibachi eatery Himitsu, the White Party – as well as Tom Schwartz and Raquel’s much-ballyhooed kiss – takes place poolside adjacent to the Bluewater Grill, and Schwartz and his ex Katie Maloney share a disastrous “divorce dinner” at the French-inspired restaurant Bordeaux (pictured above).
As was portrayed onscreen, Dreams does offer a “preferred” status upgrade in real life, which affords guests access to a daily continental breakfast, a club lounge, a business center, a private beach area and an adults-only pool with a swim-up bar, the latter of which Katie and Kristina Kelly were unceremoniously banned from visiting during their stay.
-
Image Credit: Bravo The guys host a bachelor party for Brock a good 30 miles south of the hotel at Coralina Daylight Club in Playa del Carmen. As the official website details, the locale is “a private oasis in the Caribbean sea full of energy, desire and release . . . an experience that can only be understood when lived.” It is there that the group, donning speedos adorned with Davies’ face, parties throughout the day, with Schwartz attempting to hit on a fellow reveler by complimenting her eyebrows.
-
Image Credit: Bravo Katie, Kristina, Lala Kent, DJ James Kennedy and his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, also visit a Playa del Carmen hotspot in episode 10, “It’s All Happening . . . Again,” sharing a formal dinner at Alux Restaurant & Lounge, a thoroughly unique eatery situated inside of an ancient cave formation. While there, Katie vociferously announces over a meal of roasted shrimp that she wants to light both Schwartz and Raquel on fire following their kiss.
-
Image Credit: Bravo Later in the episode, Brock and Scheana say their “I Do’s” in a lavish affair set poolside, in the same spot the White Party was held, with the bride walking down an aisle built atop the water just for the occasion in a dress fashioned by celebrated clothier Pol’ Atteu, of “Gown and Out in Beverly Hills” fame. (It was later revealed on both Jeff Lewis’ Sirius XM show and comedian Heather McDonald’s “Juicy Scoop” podcast that the designer’s partner, Patrik Simpson, inadvertently spotted Leviss and Sandoval making out in the hallway outside the bridal suite the morning of the wedding.)
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds party under a canopy of twinkle lights on the sands of the hotel’s adjacent beach overlooking the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea, with Ally declaring the event “the wedding of a lifetime.”
-
Image Credit: Bravo Back in Los Angeles, post-nuptials, restauranteur/series matriarch Lisa Vanderpump invites her Vanderpump à Paris employee Oliver Saunders and former “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-star Garcelle Beauvais for a meal at her signature eatery Pump in the episode titled “Mistress in Distress.” A longtime West Hollywood staple and favored “VPR” filming location, fans were shocked when it was announced earlier this month that Pump would be closing its doors in July after nearly a decade in operation. Series aficionados will still have the opportunity to visit Vanderpump’s other two area restaurants, SUR and TomTom, which are both located just up the street – as is The Abbey, where Ally infamously spotted Sandoval and Leviss dancing together at 1 a.m. sans Madix prior to the scandal breaking.
-
Image Credit: Bravo Raquel heads to Ella Beverly Hills for a date with Oliver, despite having just learned that he wasn’t entirely truthful with her about being separated from his wife when they hooked up in Las Vegas earlier in the season. Although the restaurant, located on the bottom floor of the Sixty Hotel, is thoroughly charming, their rendezvous is short-lived, with Leviss telling Saunders, “This was not my ideal date night,” before promptly dipping out.
-
Image Credit: Bravo Lala celebrates her 32nd birthday, marking “a completely new chapter” in her life, at The Classic Cat on the Sunset Strip, a WeHo hotspot that was initially established in 1965 and remains chock full of Hollywood glam today, with feathered chandeliers, tufted booths and pink neon signage dotting the interior. It wouldn’t be a “Vanderpump” party without someone crashing things, though, and this soiree is no different, with an uninvited Raquel dropping by to finally apologize to Kent for previously calling her a mistress.
-
Image Credit: Bravo In “Beach, Don’t Kill My Vibe,” Scheana and Ally meet up for cocktails and tacos at All Season Brewing Company, a “drinking place dedicated to good beer, good times, and good folks” that, in a fabulous example of adaptive reuse, is situated inside of the former Firestone Tire building in Los Angeles’ Miracle Mile district. “A preservationist’s dream,” as described by Eater LA, the chic streamline moderne site boasts skeeball machines, a Chicas Tacos stand, a massive bar and a plethora of vintage architectural detailing. It is while sitting in the vast open-air space that Shay rather inexplicably says of her husband and Raquel, “I would trust him in the same bed with her,” thereby raising the eyebrows of women everywhere.
-
Image Credit: Bravo Later in the episode, the gang heads to Hermosa Beach for a day on the sand hosted by James. Though they enjoy throwing around the football and gossiping by the shore, the event ultimately devolves into extreme chaos, culminating with the DJ tossing his beer (half his beer, actually, because he’s a gentleman!) in Schwartz’s face following an ill-advised joke about Rachella, aka Kennedy’s “stupid, stupid engagement [to Raquel], the most stupid proposal I’ve ever thought of in my life,” which took place the season prior.
-
Image Credit: Bravo Things only erupt further post-beach as the gang hits up local Hermosa eatery Tower 12, where Lala tells Schwartz, “Talking to you is like talking to a farm animal,” and Schwartz, chicken wing in hand, responds by calling her “a bootleg housewife.” It is also there that, in one of the season’s funniest moments, James freaks out over getting a drop of 151-proof alcohol in his eye (though the server later explains it was actually just water), which he ultimately deems karma for his earlier beer-toss at Schwartz.
-
Image Credit: Bravo At the top of episode 13, “Lady and the Glamp,” Lisa’s husband, Ken Todd, drops “the mother of all gossip bombs” while standing in the kitchen of his plush 8,800-square-foot Beverly Hills estate, Villa Rosa, where, apropos of nothing, he cheekily announces that Raquel spent the night at Sandoval’s house – and was in the jacuzzi, as well – while Ariana was out of town, leaving Katie absolutely flabbergasted.
-
Image Credit: Bravo The shocking news doesn’t stop Scheana, Brock, Schwartz, Raquel, Sandoval and Ariana from heading to Cuyama Oaks Ranch, about 130 miles north of Los Angeles, to celebrate Raquel’s 28th birthday. “Nestled in the shadow of the Los Padres Mountains” in Santa Barbara County, the 82-acre property offers visitors “the high-desert experience of their dreams,” with onsite glamping, camping, hiking, a petting zoo, and goat and pig walks. Started by proprietors Ricky and Nate during the pandemic as a safe vacation spot for LGBTQIA guests, the ranch has since ”grown exponentially” as “a wholesome family environment” and “a place to party.” The “VPR” gang keeps it pretty low-key while on the premises, feeding the pigs, sitting fireside and enjoying a homemade meal, over which Sandoval gives an oddly impassioned speech about how “badass” Raquel has become over the past year. Of the experience, a tearful Leviss asserts, “This is, like, everything I could ever want for a birthday. Like, it’s incredible.”
-
Image Credit: Bravo Kristina Kelly’s event for her popular Heartspring skincare line at the end of the episode is held at TomTom, the very same spot where the entire Scandoval scandal ultimately broke wide open just a few months later when Ariana discovered a NSFW video of Raquel on Tom’s phone during a performance by his cover band, Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras. The Heartspring soiree is, of course, a far less drama-fueled affair. However, the “VPR” cast still manages to deliver, with Ariana confronting Katie over insinuating that she and Sandoval have an open relationship, Lala divulging to Ariana that Sandoval chose to stay at a house party in Newport Beach for several hours after learning that her grandmother had just died, and Katie giving Schwartz “the coldest cold shoulder ever” in response to his make-out session with Raquel.
-
Image Credit: Bravo In a mindblowing moment, viewers witness Raquel purchase a lightning bolt necklace to match Sandoval’s in episode 14, “There’s Something About Her.” The astonishing scene was captured at Polka Dots & Moonbeams, a WeHo clothing boutique that was originally established in 1982 and remains “a favorite among stylists, stars and Hollywood’s coolest,” per the official website. Along with the necklace, Raquel also procures a lacy pink slip dress during the shopping excursion, which she wound up wearing last Halloween.
Interested in picking up your own lightning bolt lavalliere? The piece, designed by jeweler Caitlin Nicole, is currently available for the bargain price of $624 (marked down from the $780 Raquel paid). Don’t forget, “it’s gold,” as co-star Charli Burnett advised Leviss, and “you’re never going to regret buying good jewelry.”
-
Image Credit: Bravo Later in the episode, Ariana and Katie host a sandwich-tasting event at the future home of their highly-anticipated deli, Something About Her, located just down the street from TomTom, SUR and Pump at 640 N. Robertson Blvd. Though the eatery has still yet to open as of this writing, fans can support the endeavor by purchasing themed merchandise, including phone cases, tees and sweatshirts, all of which have been selling like goat cheese balls ever since news of Scandoval broke, affording the women with a nice financing nest egg.
Incredibly, the two Toms showed up late for the tasting and, as eagle-eyed Instagram detectives later discovered, their tardiness was due to their earlier attendance at a different event at Kyle Chan Design in Beverly Grove, where they were accompanied by Schwartz’s “roommate,” Jo Wenberg, and Raquel in what many are assuming was a double date. (For those keeping tabs, Kyle Chan Design is the very same spot where Sandoval, in an incredibly odd move, made a bracelet for a paparazzo named Josh a few weeks back.)
Following the tasting, the gang heads down the street to SUR to celebrate Lisa’s birthday and wrap up the episode, which was originally set to be the season finale. The party does not go well, mainly thanks to Raquel, who chastizes Katie numerous times throughout the evening (while Schwartz literally hides behind a tree), and, in a truly stunning turn of events, quizzes Ariana about her sex life with Sandoval.
-
Image Credit: Bravo The series’ ultimate finale, appropriately titled “#Scandoval,” was lensed a little over five months after the original, in the days following the scandal’s break, and features some of the most engrossing reality TV footage ever captured by cameras. By far, the most explosive segments occur at Ariana and Tom’s modern Valley Village farmhouse (a spot that is never without pens, paper towels or batteries, thanks to Sandoval’s valiant efforts). Proving herself “VPR’s” queen, yet again, an exquisitely composed Madix manages to eviscerate her ex in the property’s living room via a barrage of polished cutting remarks, each delivered brilliantly and cooly despite her obvious anger and heartbreak. It is also at the residence that OG cast member Kristen Doute makes her highly anticipated series return, comforting Madix and performing a crystal healing session in her backyard.
Though Ariana dished to Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live” last week that she and Sandoval were still cohabitating in the 4,453-square-foot, five-bedroom, six-bath home, an Instagram story just posted today revealed she is “ready to dip out,” a slew of moving boxes pictured behind her. (Update – the reality star later disclosed that the video was actually part of a sponsored post for SoFi financial company, explaining, “I’m moving up not out, well not yet at least. It’s time to get my financial house in order. I will have more to share with you very, very soon.”)
-
Image Credit: Bravo A brief – and rather awkward – scene also takes place at Raquel’s North Hollywood apartment, which she moved into last year after a short stint living with Scheana and Brock following her split with James. As detailed in a tour she gave to Bravo, the one-room studio, which is awash in gray and white tones, boasts a balcony, a walk-in closet and “good vibes overall.”
Of the footage shot there, under Leviss’ beloved galaxy lights, a source told Entertainment Tonight, “Tom wasn’t happy with how the scene went with Raquel and felt like it was going to paint him in a negative light. He told producers he’d like to re-film the scene, but producers weren’t having it.” It was an astute concern. The segment isn’t exactly the most empathy-inducing for the duo.

Image Credit: Bravo Toward the finale’s end, the ladies gather around Ariana at the rooftop bar at Grandmaster Recorders, a restaurant and lounge housed inside the former Grandmaster recording studio in Hollywood. Schwartz, who can’t seem to help himself, promptly crashes the party, whereupon Madix, in a mic drop moment, quite succinctly tells him that she will not have mutual friends with Sandoval, “So I’m not your friend anymore.”
If the trailer is any indication, the three-part reunion is going to be even more explosive than the finale. The trio of episodes is set to air on May 24, 31 and June 7 (with extended versions streaming the following day on Peacock) and has already inspired countless memes and themed merchandise, thanks largely to James’ prosaic insults, with the DJ calling Sandoval everything from a “poo poo head” to a “worm with a mustache.” He is the number one guy in the group, after all – just ask Time magazine!
