No white refrigerators here! Ever-sassy Linnethia Monique Leakes, better known to longtime fans of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” simply as NeNe, has officially listed the marital home she shared with late husband Gregg Leakes. As first reported by TMZ, the reality show alum’s mansion in the affluent Sugarloaf Country Club community — within the Duluth suburb of Atlanta — is asking an even-steven $4 million. Leakes picked up the then-newly built property, affectionately known as “Casa Leakes,” back in 2015 for $2.1 million.
Some of the nearby neighbors have included golfer Stewart Cink, former baseball players Rafael Furcal and Andruw Jones, sprinter and Olympic gold medalist Gail Devers, and singers T-Boz and Toni Braxton. Leakes’ 0.7-acre property rests alongside the No. 2 tee box of a Greg Norman-designed golf course, and emanates what the listing describes as “West Coast Vibes.” The contemporary Mediterranean-style villa has five bedrooms and six bathrooms in nearly 10,000 square feet of living space punctuated throughout by soaring ceilings, arched doorways, designer lighting and polished Roman travertine. Walls of windows and doors overlook a covered wraparound porch perfect for al fresco dining and entertaining.
Virtually a shell when Leakes purchased it, the reality star has since added her own personal touch to the home, in the form of a resort-style yard spotlighted by a pool and spa lined with waterfalls. There’s also not one but two kitchens, both complete with marble countertops, breakfast nooks and high-end Viking appliances — and stainless refrigerators, naturally — plus a beauty salon and an exceptionally massive showroom closet to meet the storage needs of any self-proclaimed “shoe whore.”
Some of the home’s other standout features include a glam living room done up all in white and a tricked-out primary suite boasting a fireside sitting area. There’s also a spa-inspired bathroom with dual vanities and a soaking tub.
Relaxation is the name of the finished basement’s game. Down there you’ll find a wet bar, custom wall seating, wine storage, a movie theater and game room. The amenities continue outdoors with that eye-catching pool. And if they have a lot of spare change in their pocket, the new owner can also enjoy private member-only access to Sugarloaf amenities — restaurants, a sports center, tennis complex and three communal pools. Take that to the bank and cash it!
During her time on RHOA, on and off from 2008 to 2020, 53-year-old Leakes was reportedly hauling in around $1 million per season, ranking her among the highest paid of Bravo’s housewives. She’s also dabbled in acting, having appeared in “Glee,” “The New Normal,” “Dancing with the Stars” and “The Celebrity Apprentice.”
