For the past two years, Mary Fitzgerald has been residing in an industrial-style rental home in the Valley Village area. Now the “Selling Sunset” star has decided to trade up to more permanent digs, having just picked up the keys to a stylishly revamped residence in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Toluca Lake.
Records show The Oppenheim Group realtor and her model/project manager husband Romain Bonnet paid $2.5 million for the traditional-style property, which was originally asking a speck under $3 million. The listing price was reduced twice, before ultimately going to the couple at a nearly $500,000 discount.
Built in the early 1940s but recently remodeled, the white stucco and wood-accented structure rests on a gated corner parcel spanning one-third of an acre and is fronted by an attached two-car garage. Once inside, three bedrooms and an equal number of baths are filtered across a little more than 2,700 square feet of single-level living space boasting hardwood floors, vaulted wood ceilings and designer light fixtures throughout.
And while imagery of Fitzgerald’s new home is slim, highlights include an open-concept great room spotlighted by a large central fireplace that separates the living area from a dining room, which is adorned with a bank of French doors spilling out to a patio ideal for al fresco lounging and entertaining. An adjacent kitchen is outfitted with white oak cabinetry, Caesarstone countertops, an apron-front sink sporting antique brass fixtures, eat-in island that seats four and newer high-end stainless appliances — including a pricey ZLine oven.
Sequestered by itself on one end of the house is a spacious master retreat, which comes complete with glassy doors flowing out to the backyard, a walk-in closet, and bath equipped with dual vanities and a graphic-tiled shower. There are two more bedrooms on the opposite side of the home — a secondary primary suite accompanied by a bath and walk-in closet, and another with its own entrance that’s currently being used as an office space — and outdoors, the private backyard hosts a big grassy lawn and seemingly ample room for a swimming pool.
