Helping titans of industry buy and sell Los Angeles mansions has made Josh and Matt Altman a pair of very rich realtors, and lately some of the pricey homes they’ve been peddling have been their own. The OG “Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles” cast members recently acquired the stunning personal residence of pioneering female architect Greta Grossman; Matt just dropped $7.1 million on a Sherman Oaks mansion and is also selling his $9 million Hancock Park home, currently in escrow with an unknown buyer. And back in 2017, Matt sold his Mulholland Estates mansion to its current owner — Kendall Jenner.
Now the proverbial ball is in Josh’s court. The feisty dealmaker is looking forward to a big payday on his main residence in Beverly Hills, which has popped up for sale with a $12 million ask. That’s pretty close to double the $6.7 million Altman and wife Heather paid for the place back in 2018. While they’ve made renovations — most notably, the home’s entire red brick façade has been painted a crisp white — it seems apparent they still stand to rake in an impressive profit, should they get anywhere close to the list price.
Described as an “East Coast Traditional” in listings but imposingly Georgian from out front, the 1938 house sits in the prime Beverly Hills Flats section of town, just about a half-skip north of bustling Wilshire Boulevard. Gated and shielded behind towering hedges from the street, the two-story structure features a formal entry flanked by slender columns that soar from ground to roofline. There’s also a motorcourt, plus covered carport parking.
Jacob Greene of the Altman Brothers Team at Douglas Elliman holds the listing.
