Erika Jayne, Tom Girardi’s Marital Pasadena Mansion Finally Sells

After more than a year, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Erika Jayne and her estranged husband Tom Girardi have officially offloaded their longtime marital home in Pasadena as part of the disgraced former attorney’s involuntary bankruptcy proceedings. As first reported by Radar Online, buyers named Jun and Peng Tao have offered to pay $7.5 million for the mansion, which originally hit the market back in May 2021 for $13 million and underwent several price chops before ultimately falling into foreclosure.

As of now, no money has actually changed hands. The sale will need to be court-approved by the judge overseeing the bankruptcy proceedings for Girardi’s Chapter 7 trustee Jason M. Rund, who still holds title to the Mediterranean-style house. Because the accepted offer is subject to an overbid, an auction date has been set for Oct. 18; the opening bid is required to be $7.525 million and will go up in $5,000 increments from there.

Girardi and his law firm have been accused of allegedly misappropriating millions of dollars intended for Lion Air Flight 610 crash victims and other debtors, and have since landed in bankruptcy. With upwards of $517 million in claims now racked up, proceeds from the sale of the Pasadena home will be used to pay off some of Girardi’s creditors.

Jayne, who has largely been cleared of wrongdoing in connection with her husband’s dealings, filed for divorce from Girardi in November 2020.

Built in the 1920s and designed by noted architect Myron Hubbard Hunt, the home was purchased by Girardi in 1980 for $1.3 million. He lived there with Jayne for most of their 21-year marriage, enjoying an indisputably lavish lifestyle — through the years, Jayne added some highly customized touches to the home, including an elaborate chapel with a groin-vaulted ceiling, carved wood doors, ornate walls, a confessional and religious imagery from around the world.

Tucked away on a nearly 2-acre parcel overlooking the Colorado Street Bridge, down a private lane above the Annandale Golf Club, the stucco and stone-accented structure features four bedrooms and nine baths sprawled across almost 10,300 square feet of two-level living space.

Highlights include a spacious living room adorned with a coffered ceiling, fireplace  and wall of French doors spilling out to an expansive veranda, plus a fireside dining room clad in silk wallpaper. A gourmet kitchen is outfitted with an eat-in island, high-end appliances and a breakfast nook, and there’s also a wood-paneled library sporting a duo of fireplaces on either end of the room.

A sumptuous master retreat features dual dressing areas and baths; and outdoors, a pool and an adjacent open-air pavilion rest amid a lushly landscaped yard hosting meandering pathways, fountains, rose gardens, wisteria-covered pergolas, and numerous spots ideal for al fresco lounging and entertaining.

Girardi, 83, has been diagnosed with late-onset Alzheimer’s and dementia, and is currently living in an assisted-living facility in Burbank. As for Jayne, 51, she’s still leasing a relatively modest house bordering L.A.’s Hancock Park neighborhood.
