This could be a record! Only two months after Cyril Hanouna doled out $5.6 million for this snazzy Hollywood Hills home, the Parisian-born media personality is already done with the place, hoisting it up for grabs with a $6 million ask.
Perched high above L.A.’s Sunset Strip, within a gated enclave of similarly styled homes, the eye-catching concrete and glass contemporary is unassuming from out front but a mullet-style party in the back. Think endless walls of floor-to-ceiling glass, plus a dramatic two-story, four-sided waterfall that connects to the tip of the angled roofline and flows 20 feet below into an infinity-edge pool and spa flanked by a living wall.
Inside, just over 4,000 square feet of open living space is adorned with Fendi and Ralph Lauren furnishings left behind by former owners, with the main level featuring a living room with its own fireplace — one of five throughout the structure — and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to the pool area, plus a dining room that seats at least 10. A gourmet kitchen abuts a small den, and comes outfitted with custom cabinetry, high-end stainless appliances and a spacious eat-in island, while the plush movie theater has a wet bar, and an exercise room hosts a fireplace and steam shower.
An artistic “floating” staircase leads upstairs, where the luxe master retreat boasts a fireplace and expansive glass doors that open to a balcony; there’s also a duo of walk-in closets and dual baths — one with a soaking tub overlooking the city and the other with a steam shower. Naturally, there are a range of particularly glitz amenities: cutting-edge audio-visual equipment, along with a camera-enhanced alarm system and two-car garage.
Hanouna is far better known in his native France, where he hosts the popular live television talk show “Touche Pas à Mon Poste!” — Don’t Touch My TV Set, to English-speaking folks. He’s also associated with the Eurovision Song Contest, “Touche Pas à Mon Poste!” and “Nouvelle Star,” the French version of “American Idol”; and he lays claim to his own production company called H20 Productions, and is rumored to be launching shows that revolve around politics, as well as organizing and carrying out over-the-top marriage requests.
