That was fast. Having dropped a whopping $13.7 million — $200,000 over the asking price! — on an oceanfront home along one of Malibu’s most sought-after streets just three months ago, Pink has caught an immediate case of Celebrity Real Estate Fickle and flipped the celeb-pedigreed pad back on the market with Lily Harfouche of Compass with an asking purse just a tiny sliver under $15 million.
Once owned by singer-songwriter extraordinaire Barry Manilow, the glass-walled split-level contemporary offers a total of 4,320 square feet between the four-bedroom and three-and-a-half-bath main house and the self-contained one-bed/one-bath guest apartment that sits atop a two-car garage with a shimmery stainless steel door.
Manilow sold the property in 2012 for $5.5 million to Natalia Mogilny, ex-wife of Russian ice hockey star Alexander Mogilny, and she sold it in the fall of 2020 for $8.7 million to a local dentist who gave it a hasty but comprehensive overhaul before flipping it to the “Just Like a Pill” singer and her freestyle motocross competitor turned off-road truck racer husband Carey Hart.
A twisted pair of mature olive trees frame the secured entry gate that leads to a spacious sunken courtyard between the main and guest houses. Shaded with retractable canvas awnings, the wind-protected courtyard includes a hot tub for warming up after a quick dip in the reliably wicked-chilly Pacific.
Highlights of the airy and light-filled interiors of the main house include a double-height living room overlooked by a formal dining area and an eat-in kitchen with ocean-facing balcony. A main floor guest bedroom or den opens to the courtyard, while the primary suite takes the pole position on the upper level with sunset and horizon views, a fitted walk-in closet, and spa-style ocean-view bath jazzed up with gold-toned fixtures.
Though they’ve long maintained a home in Malibu, where they once owned a one-acre estate in the popular Point Dume area that was sold in 2016 for $12.5 million, and later leased an oceanfront home in the Malibu Colony at a rip-roaring rumored rate of $65,000 per month, Pink and Hart make their primary residence on a 215-plus-acre spread in the the scenic Santa Ynez Valley, about a 2.5-hour drive out of Los Angeles, that they bought about eight years ago for about $13 million.
