Although she’s long primarily resided in a remote part of California’s Santa Ynez Valley, on a 200-acre ranch acquired for about $13 million, Pink has always kept a Malibu vacation home. Back in 2016, she sold her Point Dume estate for $12.5 million to prominent French banker Matthieu Pigasse and subsequently moved to a leased house in the guard-gated Malibu Colony enclave. Five years later, she’s finally bought again in the seaside community — records reveal the bestselling music superstar (“Just Like a Pill,” “Please Don’t Leave Me,” “Who Knew”) and longtime husband Carey Hart have paid $13.7 million for an oceanfront villa once owned by Barry Manilow.
As an indicator of how hot the current real estate climate has become, it’s apparent that Pink won in a bidding war for this place — the $13.7 million close was actually $200,000 over the already aggressive asking price. It’s also a whopping $5 million more than the house sold for less than a year ago, in October 2020, when it was acquired — and quickly renovated — by L.A. dentist Soleyman Cohen-Sedgh. The property was previously owned by Natalia Mogilny, a former wife of Russian ice hockey star Alexander Mogilny. (Records reveal it was Natalia who paid Manilow $5.5 million for the home in 2012.)
Secured by a locked courtyard gate and accented by two mature olive trees, the contemporary house additionally stands out with its stainless steel garage door and trendy wood appliqué. The two-car garage also includes upstairs guest quarters; the main house itself is invisible from the street, set down a staircase behind the garage building much closer to the beach.
Irene Dazzan-Palmer of The Agency was the Malibu property’s listing agent; Lily Harfouche of Compass repped Pink.
