Earlier this month, Montero Hill — better known to his millions of Instagram and TikTok followers as Lil Nas X — announced that he has become “officially a homeowner.” Now records reveal that everyone’s favorite 21-year-old country-rap cowboy hybrid has taken his horse and his Porsche out to the valley, where the Georgia native has dropped about $2.4 million on a remodeled 1950s house in a leafy pocket of Sherman Oaks.
Last sold in 2017 for just south of $1 million, the hillside property underwent a major renovation over the last four years. The old town road leads to a two-car garage that sits hard up on the street; the glassy front door is accessed past a waterfall that spills over into a pond. Wide-plank hardwood floors flow into the oversized great room, which incorporates separate dining and living areas, the latter with a linear fireplace set into a stone mantle. Monolithic expanses of all-white ceilings and walls are interspersed with recessed lights.
Adjoining the living room is the kitchen, which includes a stretched island and top-of-the-line appliances, among them two ovens and a wine fridge. Directly connected to the main living spaces is a large glass pocket door that opens to a balcony with what the listing calls “unbelievable panoramic views” over the San Fernando Valley skyline.
All of the home’s four bedrooms have ensuite full baths. Two of the rooms are staged as a gym and an office, while the master bedroom opens to a private balcony with bird’s-eye views. The attached bathroom sports dual vanities and a soaking tub, and there’s also a walk-in closet with custom built-ins.
Somewhere in the house is a “secret room,” per the listing. Out back, a wooden deck spills out towards the skyline. And while there’s no traditional swimming pool on the property, it does offer a raised jacuzzi-style unit with both separate pool and spa sections.
Jeremy Daniels-Stock of Barefoot Realty held the listing; Myles Lewis of Compass repped the buyer.
