
She already owns two homes, a nearly 30-acre ranch nestled in the hills of Tennessee and a residence in the Toluca Lake area of Los Angeles. But Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Julia Michaels is adding to her property portfolio, having picked up a traditional Cape Cod-style number in the the San Fernando Valley community of Encino.
Records show that the California-raised, 28-year-old musician — who got her start in the music industry by co-writing chart-topping hits for the likes of Justin Bieber (“Sorry) and Selena Gomez (“Lose You to Love Me”), and then achieved solo success with tunes like “Issues” — paid a speck under $5.5 million for the stylish digs, which were built in 2017 and have since been updated.
Nestled on a walled and gated parcel of land spanning a half-acre, the white wood-sided structure’s façade is accented by black shutters, soaring columns and a bright red front door.
