No f-f-f-foolin’ here … Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Joe Elliot has officially bought a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath condo in an exclusive, full-service West Hollywood building. Property records reveal the lead singer and one of the founders of the popular ’80s hard rock band Def Leppard — who maintains a primary 3-acre residence hidden away on the outskirts of Dublin, Ireland — paid $2.3 million for the contemporary stateside pad.
The sixth-floor unit’s open-concept floor plan encompasses more than 1,700 square feet of recently renovated living space adorned with white oak herringbone floors throughout. A light-filled great room holds a dining area, plus a sleek eat-in kitchen outfitted with luxe Miele appliances, a wine refrigerator and custom cabinetry.
A spacious living room is highlighted by floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors that open out to a small, south-facing balcony with panoramic views overlooking the downtown skyline, mountains and the brightly hued trio of buildings that make up the Pacific Design Center. There are also three bedrooms, including a windowed master suite equipped with a sizable closet, and a marble-clad bath sporting an oval soaking tub and walk-in shower.
Elliott will pay $1,560 per month in HOA dues for the privilege of living at his new complex, where amenities include a 24-hour concierge, valet parking, newly remodeled pool area, gym and residents’ lounge.
The rocker, who recently celebrated his 62nd birthday — meaning his new neighbors probably won’t have to worry about too many raucous rockstar-esque parties — used his COVID quarantine downtime to create The Def Leppard Vault with his fellow band members. A free online museum, the website features hundreds of photos, videos and more culled from the group’s illustrious four-decade history.
The listing was held by Dustin Nicholas of Nicholas Property Group; Elliot was repped by Judy Lin Young and Anthony Mariotti of United Real Estate Los Angeles.
