Don’t Cha wish you had the keys to this ranch? Too late, because Jessica Sutta is already calling the “purr-fect” place home! Records reveal the veteran Pussycat Dolls performer, 39, and her musician husband Mikey Marquart — who also happens to be a son of billionaire SC Johnson heiress Winnie Johnson and A Flock of Seagulls drummer Michael Marquart — have doled out $3.5 million for a 2.8-acre spread tucked away in the picturesque hills between Malibu and Calabasas, in an unincorporated area known as Monte Nido.
Resting beyond a lengthy driveway and commanding gate, the private estate is secluded amid park-like grounds dotted with mature oaks and equestrian accoutrement. Built in 2001, the rustic Craftsman-style main house is painted a grayish color with red trim, and includes five bedrooms and six bathrooms in nearly 5,000 square feet of living space rife with soaring wood-beam ceilings, wide-plank hardwood floors and abundant skylights.
A charming wraparound porch leads to the ornately decorated front door, which opens into a light-filled double-height foyer crowned by a dangling chandelier and displaying a striking curved staircase. From there, the fireside great room is accented by a built-in wall unit and bar, plus French doors that spill out onto an al fresco dining patio. An adjacent dining room abuts a gourmet kitchen outfitted with high-end stainless appliances, custom ebony-hued cabinetry, Carrara marble countertops and a butcher block-topped center island.
There’s also a downstairs bedroom, along with a large laundry room. Upstairs, the spacious master suite includes a sitting area warmed by a two-way fireplace, plus dual walk-in closets. A massive marble-clad bath offers custom cabinetry and an oval whirlpool tub. Three additional ensuite bedrooms with high ceilings and mountain views also can be found on the second level.
The undeniable star of the show: the sprawling, ultra-private grounds containing an outdoor kitchen, a firepit area, and an eye-catching rock-encased pool featuring a slide, cascading waterfall and raised spa flanked by a fire feature. Elsewhere on the lot is an attached four-car garage, as well as the aforementioned horse facilities.
Born and raised in Miami, Sutta is best known as a member of the pop girl group The Pussycat Dolls, whose single “Don’t Cha” topped the charts in 15 countries and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard charts. She’s also dabbled in acting, with roles in the film “Bully” and the Swedish-American soap opera “Ocean Avenue” alongside Megan Fox. Sober since 2016, Sutta connected with Marquart while they were both undergoing addiction treatment at The Beach House Malibu. The pair wed in 2019 and recently welcomed a baby boy.
