Record Producer Irv Gotti Spends Big on Revamped Encino Mansion

Though it wasn’t officially on the market at the time, a newly renovated Los Angeles mansion has sold to Irving Domingo Lorenzo Jr., the 52-year-old DJ-turned-record producer known professionally as Irv Gotti. The co-founder with his brother Chris of the Murder Inc. hip-hop label — who recently inked a $300 million deal with Iconoclast for a 50-percent ownership stake of his master recordings, plus funding for film and TV projects — now holds the keys to a snazzy residence in the affluent San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Encino.

Records confirm the property went to Gotti for just over $10 million. Built way back in the early 1990s — and resting in the guard-gated Royal Oaks neighborhood — the white brick and shingled structure has seven bedrooms and nine baths in almost 10,700 square feet of open-plan living space boasting walls of glass providing seamless indoor/outdoor environs. Glitzy amenities range from a gym with steam shower to a wine cellar, library and movie theater.

Other highlights include formal living/dining rooms, as well as a wet bar-equipped family room with fireplace that connects to a dining area adjoining a sleekly designed gourmet kitchen outfitted with an eat-in island and top-tier stainless appliances. There’s also an opulent fireside master retreat displaying a private balcony, separate seating area, massive closet/lounge area containing a fireplace and beauty salon, and luxe bath decked out with dual vanities, a soaking tub and glassy shower.

Outdoors, the resort-inspired grounds span a little over an acre, and host not one but two fire-pits, a sport court and “secret garden,” along with a pool and spa flanked on one side by a Regency-style cabana with daybed, and a sundeck and covered dining pavilion on the other. There’s also an attached three-car garage out front.

This isn’t the first time Gotti has put down stakes in Encino. Back in 2018, he paid $3.6 million for a freshly built spec mansion that he still owns.
