Much like those pulsing electronic records he’s managed to spin into a $30 million empire, Alesso — born Alessandro Lindblad — is turning the tables on his Studio City home, hoping the hard swap of his ultra-contemporary bachelor pad will cue a hefty profit. The Swedish-born DJ and record producer purchased the property in 2018 for $5.8 million, and now he’s placed it back on the market with a nearly $6.5 million ask.
Don’t know who Alesso is? The Swedish import began playing piano at age seven; at 16, he first became interested in the then-newfangled EDM world. Alesso first gained notoriety with the release of his first EP in 2010, and it was just two years later that he opened for Madonna during her global MDNA Tour. He subsequently gained further prominence via performances at the Coachella, Creamfields and Electric Daisy Carnival festivals, and was ultimately named one of MTV’s “EDM Rookies to Watch.” Today, at just 29 years old, he’s recognized as one of the 30 richest DJs on the planet.
“We sold this home to our client (Alesso) several years ago, and he only made it better, investing in numerous upgrades, including audio-visual and security, as well as exquisite curated furnishings, which could potentially be sold separately to the new owner,” notes listing agent Jason Oppenheim of The Oppenheim Group, who adds that the home’s privacy and impressive security features make it an ideal choice for a celebrity buyer.
Tucked away on a .37-acre hillside parcel of land — secured by gates, walls and cameras— the residence was built on speculation in 2017 by a local developer and rests on a quiet, narrow road off the main drag, yet is easily accessible to the popular dining, retail and entertainment options found on nearby Ventura Boulevard. Inside, the six-bedroom, seven-bath property contains 6,500-plus square feet of light-filled living space on two levels sporting soaring ceilings, walls of glass and seamless indoor/outdoor environs.
