Birdman’s Infamous Miami Party Mansion Back on the Market for $34 Million

The massive Miami Beach mansion that rapper/record producer Birdman spent three years trying to flog, which the face-tatted music mogul finally sold in July 2020 for $10.85 million, is back on the market for three times the price. Located on prestigious and private Palm Island, the property is now listed with Lourdes Alatriste of Douglas Elliman at $33.9 million.

The 20,000 square foot house was once owned by music producer Scott Storch, who sold it in 2010 for $7 million to billionaire RockStar Energy Drinks founder Russell Weiner. Weiner soon sold to Birdman, real name Bryan Williams, in 2012 for $14.5 million. That means that Birdman lost almost $4 million when he sold it last year, not counting the millions he spent on lavish renovations that included the addition of his famous golden toilet. (Interested buyers will be happy to know the golden throne is still there!) The rapper was reportedly facing foreclosure when he sold, though his lawyers have denied that.

The current owners also renovated the seven-bedroom house, which has nine bathrooms and four half baths. They added new floors, doors, windows, and bathrooms, and converted the recording studio back into a guest house. And they “landscaped,” covering the entire yard in a luridly bright astroturf. The views, however, are incredible. Plus, there’s a dock on Biscayne Bay for the owner’s boat.

An 82-acre pill-shaped island, manmade and guard-gated Palm Island provides its few hundred residents with 24/7 security and residents-only tennis and basketball courts. Other notable folk who have at one time or another resided on Palm Island include Al Capone, Nick Nolte, and Barbara Walters.

Inside, the house is now fairly plain, if vast; the foyer is approximately the size of Grand Central Station and the main bedroom large enough to stage a dance recital. The all-white kitchen, which is also pretty darn big, includes a very attractive stone countertop, along with herringbone-pattern parquet flooring, and there’s lots of brown marble in the cavernous master bath.

Birdman and his brother Ronald “Slim” Williams founded Cash Money Records in 1991. He has worked with such big names such as Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Drake, although he is notorious for occasionally stiffing his artists when it comes to payments. He and singer Toni Braxton are engaged.

Is the property worth $34 million? Time will tell. But there’s certainly plenty of room for a multimillionaire who likes to party. Note to new buyer: invest in some sod.
