Ariana Grande Unloads Her $14 Million Bird Streets Mansion

Ariana Grande’s consumerist life motto may be “I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it,” but when she’s done with “it,” the item gets tossed straight into the recycle bin. Scarcely a year after she impulsively bought a huge new house in the exceedingly expensive Bird Streets neighborhood of Los Angeles, the pop music superstar has resold the hillside property for exactly $14 million — in a deal recorded only this morning, per the Multiple Listing Service. Grande paid $13.7 million for the very contemporary home back in summer 2020.

It’s not yet clear who the $14 million buyer is, but they were repped in the transaction by Jacob Greene and Josh Altman of the Altman Brothers Team at Douglas Elliman. Aaron Kirman of Compass held the listing.

Avid real estate watchers shouldn’t be surprised that Grande would be in the mood to sell her only recently-acquired mansion. Earlier this year, she moved to a smaller but far more private home elsewhere in the Bird Streets. Acquired by the 28-year-old Boca Raton native for $9 million, that “hidden” estate was initially thought to be a teardown but had actually been recently renovated into a classy hideaway set just above the Sunset Strip.

As for her just-unloaded house, it sits conspicuously on a prominent ridge and was built in 2018 on speculation by the Woodbridge Group, a now-defunct Ponzi scheme orchestrated by convicted fraudster Robert Shapiro. There are four bedrooms and seven bathrooms in more than 10,000 square feet of multi-level living space. From the street, hulking metal doors guard an atrium leading to a glassy front entryway.

Inside are spacious living areas, with floor-to-ceiling walls of glass framing views of the L.A. skyline and surrounding hills. A gourmet kitchen holds Miele appliances, and a dual-sided fireplace services both the formal living and dining rooms. On the home’s penthouse level lies a lavish primary suite encompassing the entire floor, complete with a stone bathroom and boutique-style dressing room with dramatic backlighting. The home’s lower level, meanwhile, has massage and sauna facilities, a gym, wine closet, wet bar and movie theater. For safety and security, Grande even had all the home’s many Fleetwood glass sliding doors replaced with reinforced bulletproof glass.

Because the huge house is perched on a steep incline, it notably lacks a grassy yard. However, the property does include a spacious patio for al fresco entertaining, along with an L-shaped and infinity-edged swimming pool overlooking the valley below.

Besides her other Bird Streets home, Grande and her new realtor husband Dalton Gomez also keep a vacation house up in the seaside village of Montecito, Calif. Grande acquired that historic property last year from serial house flipper Ellen DeGeneres.
