It’s no secret that veteran rapper Tauheed Epps, far better known to fans as 2 Chainz, has cultivated a keen eye for the finer things in life. The Georgia native’s Viceland TV series, “Most Expensivist,” even chronicled his travels across the country seeking out pricey (and cool!) stuff. Think a motorized surfboard topping the $11,000 mark, a $100,000 martini with diamond-infused vodka, and gold-coated popcorn that goes for $125 to $150 per gram, just to name a few of his uniquely costly finds.
So, it’s no surprise that the singer’s penchant for extravagance also extends to his living quarters. Not only did the burgeoning real estate investor pay $517,000 for a foreclosed Mediterranean-style manse spread across 22 acres in Palmetto, Ga., a decade ago and proceed to deck it out to the nines, but back in 2016 he also paid Grammy-winning rock guitarist Steve Vai almost $2.5 million for ritzy digs in the Beachwood Canyon neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Records show that 2 Chainz has now made his largest and glitziest property splurge yet, having doled out about $3.8 million for an even bigger home in the same general area as the Vai digs. The onetime home of actress Eva Longoria — who purchased the place in 2006 for $3.6 million and took a $436,000 loss when she sold it 12 years later — the lavish residence is a fusion of contemporary and Mediterranean styles.
Tucked away in a gated community, on a nearly quarter-acre parcel fronted by a two-car garage, the white stucco structure comes with six bedrooms and nine baths in nearly 9,000 square feet of light-filled living space adorned throughout with hardwood and tile floors, soaring ceilings, arched windows and a stunning spiral staircase spanning all four levels.
Erik Miles and Kelly Reid of Compass served as the listing agents; the buyer was repped by Michael Berlin of KW Capital.
