‘Unfiltered’ Podcast Host Zane Hijazi Lists Hillside Contemporary Home

Ever since Zane Hijazi purchased a modern home in Studio City a little over a year ago, his career has been on the upswing. Best known as a YouTuber and member of David Dobrik’s ubiquitous “Vlog Squad,” the 28-year-old now hosts the “Unfiltered” podcast with fellow Vlog Squad-er Heath Hussar. This summer, the duo signed on with top talent agency UTA and previously launched the Kramoda coffee company.

The digital native, who counts 3.9 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, has also been kept busy with lucrative sponsorship deals — Yahoo, Old Spice, Calvin Klein, and Jose Cuervo among them. And he’s looking to make a profit in the currently red-hot real estate market, too, asking a cool $3 million for his snazzy Studio City house, picked up just last year for $2.4 million.

Originally built in 1955, the house was given a full contemporary makeover in 2019, just prior to Hijazi’s purchase. Today, the multilevel structure looks much the same as it did back then; there are 3,600 square feet with five bedrooms and four bathrooms, plus a generically luxe array of light-filled living spaces, white oak hardwood floors and walls of accordion-style glass doors.

From the sidewalk, a vertigo-inducing staircase flanking a two-car attached garage leads way up to the front door. The home’s centerpiece is its sleek galley-style kitchen, which boasts quartz countertops, a waterfall-edge island with seating, stainless appliances and a flashy geometric-patterned backsplash. There’s also a combo dining/living room, plus a nifty linear fireplace operated via remote control.

All of the bedrooms — which include a duo of master suites — offer views of either the San Fernando Valley skyline or grassy backyard. Though the .41-acre lot is large for the neighborhood, the property is steeply sloped, meaning there’s not much usable space. The yard is desirably private, however, with a border of tall wall of mature trees and hedges watching over the swimming pool.
