The Kardashians’ Makeup Artist Lists Multimillion-Dollar Los Angeles Home

The Kardashians’ pathway to fame has been paved with riches — riches that have also benefited everyone around them! Last year, Kim Kardashian’s hairstylist Chris Appleton bought a $4 million home in the Hollywood Hills. And now Mary Phillips, a go-to makeup artist for A-list celebrities like Kardashian, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Lopez and Bella Hadid, has put her own impressive Los Angeles residence up for sale. The asking price: just under $3.3 million.

Located on the fringe of prestigious Toluca Lake, the house was built new just last year, designed and completed by prolific local firm Core Homes. Phillips bought the trendy modern farmhouse in October 2021, paying $2.7 million.

The structure sits on a flat lot spanning nearly 8,000 square feet, and luxe upgrades include a poolside backyard cabana with its own bathroom and grassy lawns in both the front and backyards. (The back lawn is AstroTurf, while the front lawn appears to be real grass.) There’s also a built-in BBQ with bar seating and a spacious pool with a lap-lane swim area, a big Baja shelf for sunbathing and inset spa.

Inside, the house includes a downstairs guest bedroom and four upstairs family bedrooms, all of them with ensuite bathrooms. Medium-brown hardwood floors flow throughout the residence, which is flooded with natural light thanks to oversized windows and sliding glass doors. And any chef will love the kitchen, which features high-end Thermador appliances nicely integrated into the custom cabinetry, an eat-island with waterfall quartz countertop, two farmhouse sinks and butler’s pantry. The open-concept dining and fireplace-equipped family rooms offer direct access to the backyard.
