It looks like the off-market deal to sell her Los Angeles home, which she revealed with great relief on her vlog a few weeks ago, didn’t pan because 27-year-old veteran podcaster and social media influencer Lauren Elizabeth’s Studio City house has just hit the open market with an asking price pushing up on $2.7 million.
A self-described “business savvy Midwestern girl living in Los Angeles,” whose 1.2 million YouTube subscribers and 900,000 Instagram followers tune in for her rapid-fire thoughts and tips on matters of “lifestyle, wellness, and other real sh*t,” Elizabeth only purchased the totally re-built 1947 California ranch house in late 2020 — at the time she was just about a year sober and on the emotional heels of a devastating breakup — for a tad more than $2 million.
Elizabeth, who spends a great deal of her on-air time pitching all sorts of products she likes, uses, and/or probably gets paid to mention, then did what social media influencers do, she announced the purchase of the home on YouTube, recounted the story of her purchase in great detail, and devoted several more vlogs to showing off the furnishing and decorating of her new home. Alas, her excitement soon faded, her priorities changed — she says she’s less focused less on success and more on creating a healthy work/life balance — and she’s officially relocated to her hometown of Chicago.
Besides some paint and décor, Elizabeth appears to have made few changes to the almost 2,800-square-foot single-level home that’s painted a trendy shade of battleship grey and set behind a carefully clipped hedge. There are four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms between the three-bedroom and 2.5-bath main house and a detached studio-style ADU that includes its own kitchen, bathroom, and street address.
Other highlights include polished wide-plank floorboards, vintage brick accents, and several skylights that allow light to pour into the gourmet kitchen. A fireplace is set into a stone-faced column in the primary bedroom, which also offers a walk-in closet and private bath.
In the living room, where the fireplace is flanked by custom wood built-ins, a wall of glass disappears into the wall and merges the room with a small, covered porch and backyard. Surrounded by mature trees and foliage provide a lot of privacy from the neighbors, the verdant oasis features a custom lighting program, a lush lawn, and a plunge-sized swimming pool with spa.
The property is jointly listed with Alex Vichinsky and James Harris, both of The Agency.
Elizabeth’s Chi-town digs, unsurprisingly showcased on her YouTube and TikTok channels many times, is a clean-lined contemporary, city-view one-bedroom rental apartment with a glass-railed balcony that hangs over the Chicago River.
