Round up those buyers! Though it’s been barely two years since Colin Cowherd doled out $6.9 million for this traditional Cape Cod-style residence, the veteran sports media personality — probably best known as host of “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” — is already looking to wrangle a new owner for his place in a sought-after neighborhood of Brentwood with a nearly $5 million bump in price, asking a smidge under $12 million.
But Cowherd and longtime wife Ann did undertake an extensive customization of the premises during their tenure, most notably updating the formerly gray facade with a coat of blue paint and stone accents. Inside, they also filled just over 6,700 square feet of two-level living space with high-end finishes and snazzy new amenities, like an office boasting a refrigerated wine room, a gym with an accompanying space for massages and “secret doggie bedroom” adorned with a faux fireplace.
Other highlights include a gourmet kitchen decked out with an eat-in granite island, top-tier stainless appliances, a butler’s pantry and an adjacent breakfast area, plus a family room that connects via a two-sided fireplace to a sitting room. There’s also a step-down formal living room equipped with a fireplace and wet bar, and formal dining room topped with a pricey Il Pezzo chandelier.
An upstairs master retreat is outfitted with a fireplace, separate seating area, dual walk-in closets and a luxe bath; and elsewhere is a spacious room just for watching TV and playing games. Outdoors, the gated and hedged grounds span nearly a quarter-acre, and host a pool and spa, and stone-clad terrace with an al fresco dining area and a fire-pit in the backyard, along with an attached two-car garage out front.
