A little birdie let it slip that supermodel and current international “it girl” Bella Hadid has hung her SoHo penthouse out on the open market with a just-under-$6.5 million asking price. The veteran model, now 24, purchased the duplex pad in November 2019 for $6.1 million, shortly after her breakup with The Weeknd, but it appears she’s already over the fashionably appointed industrial-style home.
The building in which Hadid’s luxe apartment is located dates to 1877 and was used as a silk showroom before it was converted into a residential co-op in 2016. The boutique building stands just six stories tall with a mere 14 residential units, perfect for those on the hunt for exclusivity and privacy in the big city. Residents of the building , who used to include her supermodel older sister Gigi Hadid and her beau Zayn Malik — he sold his apartment at a huge loss earlier this year — enjoy oversized windows, high ceilings and cast iron and wood columns. The building also offers a staffed lobby, a bicycle room, a package room and a landscaped rooftop terrace, though it should be noted that Hadid’s unit has its own private rooftop escape.
Measuring in at a roomy 2,569 square feet, which is pretty big for an apartment anywhere, and especially so in New York, Hadid’s photogenic bachelorette pad has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The spread was renovated shortly before the model catwalked her way into the residence and it appears she has made little to no changes during the brief time that she’s owned it.
And, it wouldn’t be a true Hollywood listing if another celeb wasn’t handling the real estate end of things! The listing is held by “Million Dollar Listing New York” and “Sell It like Serhant” star Ryan Serhant of Serhant Realty.

Image Credit: StreetEasy Open floor plans are a hot design choice nowadays, and Hadid’s home is no exception. The living room, dining area, home office and kitchen are all located within the penthouse’s sprawling “great room.” Hardwood flooring covers the length of the apartment, while unique redbrick, vaulted ceilings draw eyes upward. Exposed metal columns and duct work give the space a stylish modern warehouse feel.

Unsually spacious and up-to-date (not to mention chic) the kitchen boasts a huge center island with a gleaming black marble counter top that waterfalls over the ends. There are also custom cabinets, all the fancy culinary doohickeys that one might need to whip up a meal and a 100-bottle wine cave nipped under the stairs alongside the dining area.

Two oversized double windows let in natural light and, rather unfortunately, gaze directly into the next building. There’s also a walk-in closet with a custom glass shoe display and clothing racks to store runway-ready outfits. The en-suite master bathroom has a floating Jack ‘n’ Jill sink, bronze fixtures and an oversized shower. And, of course, a huge mirror.

Image Credit: StreetEasy One of the biggest selling points of Hadid’s penthouse is its giant roof terrace. Surrounded by wood paneling for utmost privacy, the landscaped urban oasis boasts enough room to have separate eating and dining areas. However, if guests would like to see some sights from the ground level, the West Village, Tribeca, NoLita and Little Italy neighborhoods are all within walking distance.
