As her nearly 24 million Instagram followers already know, Amanda Cerny and her Austrian fitness trainer boyfriend Johannes Bartl live primarily in the Miami area, where they and their Dalmatians preside over a swanky waterfront spread with lush gardens, an infinity-edge pool and a private dock.
For the last three and a half years, however, the Playboy centerfold turned powerhouse social media star has maintained a multimillion-dollar toehold in L.A.’s once unsung but increasingly popular Valley Village area of the San Fernando Valley. (Her bi-coastal lifestyle is nothing new; way back in a 2017, while living in a Hollywood apartment complex popular with social media stars, she captioned an Instagram post, “Hollywood is work. Miami is home.”)
That the veteran Instagram star has put her Insta-ready West Coast abode up for sale, with an asking price of $3.75 million, isn’t too much of a secret now that she’s tweeted out the Zillow listing to her 1.2 million Twitter followers.
Purchased in early 2019 for $2.36 million, the concrete and black-glass residence is a striking contrast to the much more unassuming ranch-style homes that line the street. With four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms in more than 3,700 square feet, the light and airy home is described in listings as “a perfect balance of modern and cozy” with “professionally designed Feng Shui rooms.”
Marketing materials go on to tout the many “forward-thinking” technologies resident in the home, including a comprehensive smart home system that controls the Sonos speakers, Lutron lighting, climate systems, and security apparatus that incorporates an intercom and cameras.
Inside, oversized concrete-colored Italian floor tiles unify the sprawling open-plan living spaces. A massive picture window frames an abstract view of a green wall, the high-end minimalist kitchen sports integrated appliances, and vast walls of glass slide open to merge indoor and outdoor living and entertaining spaces.
Each of the bedrooms boasts its own bathroom, while the primary suite offers a linear gas fireplace, a small balcony, a bespoke walk-in closet with built-in drawer organizers for watches and jewelry, and a spa-worthy bathroom replete with soaking tub and steam shower.
Hedged for privacy, the simply landscaped backyard offers a covered patio, a built-in barbecue, a heated pool and spa, and a swatch of easy-maintenance evergreen artificial turf.
