‘Call Her Daddy’ Host Alex Cooper Buys $10 Million Los Angeles Compound

Might as well call her butter, because Alex Cooper is on a proverbial roll. Less than a year after the “Call Her Daddy” host/founder signed a whopping $60+ million deal with Spotify , the Pennsylvania native, 27, has seriously upgraded her Los Angeles residence with the $10.7 million purchase of a bonafide estate.

Records reveal the Porsche-driving podcaster and her longtime boyfriend, Hollywood producer Matt Kaplan (“To All the Boys”), will be steering into a big new residence in the Studio City hills. The property is a true compound, consisting of two separate houses on two separate parcels with two different addresses. The larger residence sits behind gates and sports about 5,300 square feet of living space, while the smaller guesthouse next door also lies behind gates, with about 1,600 square feet. Altogether, the two structures offer six bedrooms and 6.5 baths.

Both homes were sold to Cooper and Kaplan by Alba di Angeli, the ex-wife of Wyoming-based real estate mogul Richard Fields. The estate was previously owned by “Desperate Housewives” screenwriter Joe Keenan, who sold it to di Angeli in 2016 for $7.4 million.

The larger residence is a Colonial-style mansion originally built in the late 1930s, per tax records. There are three bedrooms, plus a fireplace-equipped living room, a wood-paneled dining room and a kitchen that opens to the family room.

Upstairs, there’s an office and library, plus a master suite with an wet bar, lavish dressing room and a bathroom lined with burled walnut trim. Outside, the property features a private motorcourt with space for a half-dozen cars, a courtyard, an outdoor fireplace and vast lawns dotted by mature trees. The classically oval swimming pool is perfectly Old Hollywood, and the smaller house also features a gated motorcourt, plus grassy lawns and more mature trees.

Cooper previously occupied a luxe rental home near West Hollywood, while Kaplan owned a house in L.A.’s Beverly Grove neighborhood that was quietly sold off for $3.7 million in April to a non-famous couple, per records.

Launched in 2018, “Call Her Daddy” was initially co-hosted by Cooper and her former BFF/roommate Sofia Franklyn. The raunchy, originally sex-oriented podcast was an immediate hit and has proven to be a longterm success, though Cooper and Franklyn famously had a bitter falling out in 2020, resulting in Franklyn departing the show. Since Cooper signed her eye-popping Spotify deal, “Call Her Daddy” has grown up, in a manner of speaking, shifting its focus from the sex lives of young women to mental health awareness.
