Taylor Lautner pulled a bit of a disappearing act once his run as werewolf Jacob Black in the “Twilight” movies ended back in 2012, but the former teen heartthrob is back in the news. Not only is the veteran actor, 30, starring in the new Netflix comedy “Home Team” alongside Kevin James and Rob Schneider, but he recently became engaged to his longtime girlfriend Tay Dome, a registered nurse and blogger. And he’s also selling his main residence, a striking contemporary mansion in a semi-remote part of Agoura Hills, hoisting it onto the market at nearly $5 million.
Back in 2020, Lautner picked up the then-brand-new place for $3.8 million, but has since made some stylish updates. Tucked away behind a gated driveway, on a nearly 9-acre parcel within a small gated community surrounded by rugged mountains, the white and wood-accented structure offers five bedrooms and four baths spread across just over 5,600 square feet of living space displaying concrete and wide-plank French oak floors, Fleetwood doors and windows, and a Control4 home-automation system.
Highlights include a sleekly designed gourmet kitchen outfitted with imported Italian cabinetry, an eat-in island with high-end stainless appliances, and an adjacent den that’s divided from the formal living and dining areas by a dual-sided fireplace. There’s also an inviting master retreat boasting a spa-like bath with a soaking tub, open shower and dual vanities, plus an office, a media room and speakeasy-style lounge; outdoors, the picturesque grounds come complete with an infinity-edge pool and spa, a cabana sporting a TV and kitchenette, a duo of fire-pits, barbecue center and bocce ball court.
Lautner earned a total of $45 million from the five films in the “Twilight” franchise, and he’s also held TV and film roles in “Scream Queens,” “Grown Ups 2,” “Cheaper by the Dozen,” “Run the Tide,” “My Wife and Kids” and “The Bernie Mac Show.” He continues to maintain a 10-acre estate in the far-flung community of Castaic, about 40 miles northwest of L.A., that he purchased about a decade ago for $2 million.
