Comedian Rebel Wilson has put up her waterfront Sydney Harbor house on the market, asking the equivalent of about $6.7 million USD. On Instagram, Wilson wrote, “There’s something special about this house, its location, its vibe and I am sad to see it go after a meticulous renovation. I just won’t be using it for the next few years because [I] will be working overseas and would prefer someone else gets to appreciate it.
“My favorite thing is probably the elevator I put in that gives you views as you go up and down. It’s great for a boat owner with its own jetty and moorings. Or you can just watch all the boats go by every day – especially at sunset, it’s gorgeous. And all the neighbors know what a brilliant street and suburb it is to live in in Sydney.”
The new-build, arranged over three stories, was designed by award-winning architect Paul O’Connor. Three bedrooms, three spacious marble bathrooms plus a powder room, an elevator, and a gorgeous marble-topped kitchen are all features of the 2,100 square-foot house. It’s listed by Peter Gordon and Ralph Daher at Cobden Hayson.
Each level offers great harbor views. Outside, there’s about 1,400 square feet of travertine terraces and balconies, an infinity edge ozone pool, and on the water level, an outdoor kitchen with room for dining, a pontoon and deepwater mooring. Inside, the kitchen, with smoked oak cabinetry, features a Sub Zero fridge and Arabesco marble. The living room includes a Jetmaster gas fireplace, and the bathrooms, with all black hardware, sport spacious shower areas and room to lounge.
On this side of the globe, Wilson owns a five-bedroom, five-bathroom estate in West Hollywood she bought in 2016 for $3 million. She also still holds title to a $2.2 million Hollywood Hills hideaway, acquired way back in 2014, plus a $3 million apartment in New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood.
