The latest celebrity to join the Hollywood crowd bunking up in Encino is Jenna Dewan, who’s just plunked down an impressive $4.7 million on a nearly-new home in the foothills. The dancer and actress (“Step Up,” “World of Dance,” the anthology film “Berlin, I Love You”) is a Beverly Hills expat, having formerly lived in a $6 million 90210 estate that’s still owned by her ex-husband Channing Tatum. Following their split, she and new beau Steve Kazee — a veteran Broadway actor — bunked up in a contemporary San Fernando Valley rental home before zeroing in on the Encino acquisition.
Built new in 2018, the 7,200-square-foot mansion was first sold the following summer for $4.4 million to talent agent Brian DePersia, a longtime William Morris Endeavor employee who’s repped the likes of Willie Nelson and Josh Groban. DePersia held onto the place for barely 1.5 years before flipping it to Dewan at a $300,000 profit, an amount that shrinks considerably once upkeep, taxes, and hefty realtor fees are factored into the equation.
Located on a steep hillside street, in the same posh Encino neighborhood pocket where other homeowners include John Fogerty, Meghan Trainor, “Real Housewives” star Dorit Kemsley, and insurance mogul Veronica Gallardo, the nearly half-acre property offers a wee grassy front lawn shaded by mature olive trees and accented with carefully clipped boxwood hedges and bunches of white roses. Also out front is a driveway with space for two cars, plus an attached garage with room for two more.

The family area boasts built-in bookshelves and a linear fireplace, while the listing touts the “vanishing glass doors” that slide open to the backyard, blurring the line between indoors and out.

Views take in the backyard and surrounding treetops, and there’s also a boutique-style dressing room plus a master bath slathered in marble.
