This isn’t Jane Seymour’s first rental rodeo. Before the British actress sold her historic manor house in England, she was widely known to have leased it out for corporate events and private affairs — rock bands like the Cure and Radiohead even recorded albums there. Now the “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” and “Live and Let Die” star, 71, is hoisting her longtime stateside property in Malibu up for rent, asking a steep $100,000 per month for the luxe estate.
The place is only available from October 2022-May 2023 per the listing, which is held by Jeff Chertow of Pinnacle Estate Properties; and an additional $25,000 will be tacked on for guests who only choose to stay for one month at a time.
Originally built in the early 1980s — and bought by Seymour for $3.4 million back in 1994 — the fully furnished, two-story home sits directly oceanside, and provides sweeping coastline views from a gated bluff-top parcel spanning just over an acre. Inside, seven bedrooms and eight baths are filtered across a little more than 6,300 square feet of recently remodeled living space.
Among the highlights: an expansive living/dining room area resting beneath a vaulted wood-beam ceiling, and displaying a fireplace and French doors opening to a deck. A gourmet kitchen outfitted with a center island and high-end appliances connects to a cozy family room sporting a stone fireplace via a casual dining space.
Elsewhere is an inviting master retreat boasting a seating area warmed by a white brick fireplace, balcony overlooking ocean vistas, and spa-inspired bath equipped with a soaking tub and glass-encased shower; and the property also comes complete with a movie theater, billiard room and detached art studio/guesthouse.
The undeniable star of the show? The picturesque manicured grounds, which host a beach-entry pool and spa, numerous al fresco dining and entertaining spots, and a pathway that meanders through organic vegetable and fruit gardens before emptying out at the beach below. There’s even a north/south tennis court out front.
