Now that NBC’s musical-comedy “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist” is officially no more, looks like Jane Levy is also ending one proverbial Los Angeles real estate run to start anew. Property records reveal the Golden Globe-nominated actress — who stars as Zoey Clarke, a San Francisco coder with a unique ability to hear the innermost thoughts of people around her as songs and musical numbers — has just doled out $3.2 million for a stunningly renovated Craftsman-style bungalow in the Hollywood Hills. Meanwhile, her longtime other home — a mountain cabin-esque property tucked away in the historic Mount Washington neighborhood, on L.A.’s Eastside — is currently in escrow to be sold, asking $1.3 million.
An L.A. native, the 31-year-old veteran film and TV actress began her career as Mandy in “Shameless” and went on to get her first leading role in “Suburgatory.” She also has appeared in “Evil Dead,” “Don’t Breathe,” “There’s… Johnny!,” “Castle Rock” and “What/If.” But her big break came with “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist,” which was unexpectedly cancelled in June, after only two seasons. There’s some good news for cult followers of the series, though — producers are in negotiations with Roku for a holiday movie based on the show.
Originally built in 1907 but recently redone by noted L.A. interior designer Oliver Furth, Levy’s new Hollywood Hills property rests on a private, gated street nestled amid the foothills east of Runyon Canyon. Home to notable celebs such as Diane Keaton and Helen Mirren through the years, the enclave has only about a dozen properties, with nearly all of them historic and very few ever hitting the open market.
The listing was held by Nick Sandler and Bennett Hirsch of The Agency; Levy was repped by Rob Kallick of Compass.
Weighing in at a little over 2,300 square feet, the attractive dark green-shingled and white-shuttered house is hidden away on a heavily wooded parcel that spans a third of an acre, and includes three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The updated interiors are highlighted by freshly painted white wood floors and eye-catching, jewel-toned rooms mixed with classic details including coffered and wood-beamed ceilings, built-ins and an inviting front porch out front.

Image Credit: Redfin As for her former Mount Washington home (below), Levy acquired that place way back in 2014 for $785,000. Built in 1932, the cabin-style property features two bedrooms and one bath in just over 1,500 square feet, and per the listing, has been home to several artists and creative types through the years. Concealed from the street, down a secluded wooded path on nearly a half-acre of land, the house boasts a small kitchen with a vintage stove and farmhouse sink, plus a dining area, living room and an additional living area. Most of the rooms flow out onto an expansive wood deck ideal for al fresco dining against the backdrop of the San Rafael Hills and city skyline.
Rob Kallick of Compass also repped Levy in the sale of the Mount Washington house.
