Actress Jameela Jamil — probably best known for her role in the NBC comedy series “The Good Place” — and her longtime partner, Grammy-winning musician James Blake, are hoping to find a buyer willing to dole out $5 million for their modern home in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Mount Olympus. Though that’s a significant increase over the $3.9 million they paid for the place a little less than two years ago, back in August 2020, the England-born pair did undertake an extensive remodeling project during their tenure.
Resting behind gates, on a steeply sloped hillside parcel spanning almost a quarter-acre, the all-white white stucco and portico-accented structure was custom built in the late ’90s. Inside, four bedrooms and four baths are spread across just over 4,100 square feet of open-concept living space boasting white oak hardwood floors, plus walls of glass framing sweeping canyon and city lights views.
A double-height foyer flows into the main level, which hosts a family room and step-up den sporting built-in bookshelves. Holding court adjacent to that is a small gourmet kitchen outfitted with an eat-in island, custom Prado cabinetry, high-end stainless appliances and a dining area. A music studio/guest bedroom with its own entrance also can be found on this floor.
Take the dramatic “floating” staircase upstairs, where the massive primary suite is adorned with a sitting area, glass panels that open to a wraparound deck and dual walk-in closets. A spa-like bath is equipped with an oversized steam shower and a soaking tub, while two additional ensuite bedrooms with balconies also can be found on the second level.
Outside, the amenity-filled backyard features a lap pool nestled alongside a grassy lawn; there’s also a fire-pit, outdoor kitchen and barbecue setup, and numerous spots ideal for al fresco entertaining and lounging. Best of all, those famous Mount Olympus views take in a big chunk of the Los Angeles skyline.
Jamil, 36, is currently preparing for her role as supervillain Titania in Marvel’s upcoming “She-Hulk” TV series, while 33-year-old Blake recently released his fifth album, “Friends That Break Your Heart,” as well as a Wind Down soundscape available exclusively through Endel.
The listing is held by Rick Ojeda of Avenue 8.
