It’s been just nine months since Hassie Harrison doled out $2.5 million for a custom hacienda-style home in the remote area of Topanga Canyon. Now the “Yellowstone” actress — who also happens to be the granddaughter of the late Caroline Rose Hunt, a billionaire Texas oil heiress who was once the richest woman in America and owner of the Bel-Air Hotel — is tossing the place back onto the market, asking a smidge under $2.7 million.
Tucked away on almost an acre-and-a-half of land nestled into a steep ridge, and accessible only via a winding and narrow road, the stucco and terracotta-roof structure provides sweeping views of the Santa Monica mountains. Originally built in the late 1950s, but upgraded through the years, the house boasts three bedrooms and 3.5 baths in just over 2,500 square feet of rustic living space punctuated throughout with two-tone hardwood floors and wood-plank ceilings.
Main-level highlights include an inviting fireside patio resting next to the front door, which leads into a living room sporting glass doors spilling out to a spacious balcony. An adjacent den with a wood-burning fireplace and built-in seating connects to a chef’s kitchen, which is outfitted with blue ceramic tile countertops, open shelves and a white Viking range.
There’s a laundry room with a ladder/staircase heading up to a small loft-style bonus space that’s currently being used as an office; and this floor also hosts an ensuite bedroom with its own entrance, plus a master suite with a soaking tub-equipped bath.
The lower level holds a media/family room that flows out to an intimate deck and a more expansive patio perfect for entertaining, along with a guest bedroom and bath; and outdoors, the park-like grounds come complete with stone steps descending to a grassy lawn ideal for relaxing amid the lush landscape and breathtaking vistas.
Harrison, 32, kicked off her acting career with bit parts in horror films like “Southbound” and “Dementia,” along with TV shows such as “Hart of Dixie” and “The Iron Orchard.” She’s gone on to garner roles as barrel racer Laramie in Paramount’s hit Western drama “Yellowstone,” alongside Kevin Costner, and as the lone female firefighter on the truTV comedy “Tacoma FD,” with the Broken Lizard comedy troupe’s Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme.
