Here’s the story of a lovely lady who’s bringing one lovely condominium in Manhattan’s Lennox Hill neighborhood onto the market. “Brady Bunch” actress and avid artist Eve Plumb, who portrayed the always put-upon middle sister Jan in the iconic early 1970s sitcom, is looking for the perfect match for her 1,225-square-foot apartment that boasts two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Plumb sometimes still acts — her latest credit was a 2020 guest role on the TV series “Bull” — but nowadays primarily focuses on her painting career. She purchased the condo back in 2016 for $1.58 million, so the current $1.79 million ask isn’t much of a profit on the place. Her former digs are located on a middling floor in the somewhat obscure, 31-story Paladin building, which was built in 1984 — pretty new by Big Apple standards. Building amenities include 24-hour doorman service, a laundry room and extra storage, and Plumb’s unit offers stunning sky-high views of Manhattan and the East River.
Immediately inside the front door lies a combo living/dining/kitchen area. The interiors have been painted a moody gray atop dark-stained hardwood floors, though large picture windows still fill the place with natural light. A sliding glass door leads to a possibly vertigo-inducing patio area.
The cozy dining area is separated from the galley-style kitchen via a pony wall. Though the kitchen is narrow — as many in Manhattan can be — it’s freshly renovated and outfitted with a gas range, two convection ovens, an ultra-quiet dishwasher, smart refrigerator, granite countertops and French-style cabinetry.
There are just two bedrooms in the apartment, both come with their own bathrooms and one of which is staged as a home office. The master suite is fairly roomy, has plenty of storage space and a private balcony. The accompanying master bath boasts heated floors, a heated towel rack and eye-catching New York City-themed wallpaper.
Although Plumb is selling this particular NYC haunt, she still owns at least two other properties in the city, including a Midtown penthouse she purchased in 2016 for about $1.6 million — it’s currently used as a rental property — and a small flat on the Upper West Side, acquired in 2013 for just $576,000. For decades, the actress also owned an oceanfront Malibu home, though that place was sold off in 2016 for $3.9 million.
