After years of playing almost every supernatural creature imaginable in an array of TV shows — “Teen Wolf,” “The Originals,” “Cursed,” just to name a few — English actor Daniel Sharman has moved on from that particular genre, having most recently been cast as Kelly Lord in Nick Lowe’s new 1980s gangster drama “A Town Called Malice.”
Now it seems the veteran English actor has decided to part ways with his longtime Los Angeles residence as well, hoisting his cozy Highland Park home onto the market for a speck under $1 million; and though that’s around $300,000 more than he paid for the place five years ago, back in spring 2018, Sharman did undertake a remodel of the premises during his tenure.
Described in the listing as “completely reimagined,” the dark-hued structure was built in the mid-’60s, and features two bedrooms and a couple of recently redone full baths packed into just under 1,000 square feet of updated single-level living space boasting freshly painted interiors containing newer laminate floors and dual-paned windows throughout.
Highlights include a skylight-topped living/dining area, which connects to a kitchen outfitted with green cabinetry, open shelving, a marble-clad island, decorative tile backsplash, and stainless Bosch and Frigidaire appliances. Tucked just off the kitchen is a hallway that passes by a laundry nook on its way to dual bedrooms — one of which is currently being used as a den, and each providing access to a tiled bath equipped with a large shower, plus sliding glass doors spilling out to an enclosed wood deck hosting a fire-pit.
Another bath can be found right inside the front entrance; and while there’s no pool amid the compact 0.12-acre grounds, the upper-level backyard does offer a vegetable garden, along with a partially trellised deck that’s perfect for al fresco lounging and dining. Out front, there’s also a gated driveway that empties out at covered carport with room for one vehicle.
Sharman, 36, got his start as an actor at the Royal Shakespeare Company and London Academy of Dramatic Art, subsequently performing in several theatrical productions in London and Europe. After moving to Los Angeles in 2011, he played the recurring role of Isaac Lahey in “Teen Wolf,” and went on to star in shows like “The Originals,” “LFE,” “Mercy Street,” “Fear the Walking Dead,” “Medici: The Magnificent” and “Cursed.” His newest series, “A Town Called Malice,” premiered in March on Sky Max.
The listing is held by Peter DiVito of The Agency and Eli Karon of Douglas Elliman.
