Although it’s long been vacant, the 90210 estate where actors Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan lived during their marriage has finally become available for sale. Unfortunately for them, the $6 million ask is exactly what Tatum paid for the place back in 2015; even in the event of a full-price offer, the couple are facing a hefty loss once six years of carrying costs, prodigious realtor commissions, and renovation fees are factored into the equation.
Set behind driveway gates within an exclusive gated community, where neighbors include Lisa Vanderpump, Demi Moore, Jessica Alba, Jon Voight, and Garmin heir Ken Kao, the one-acre property includes what the listing describes as “an elegant Hamptons-style country estate,” with six beds and six baths in nearly 5,000 square feet of living space.
Originally completely in 1950 but rebuilt in 1977 and extensively renovated since, the house was once owned by Princess Leia herself — the late, great Carrie Fisher. In 1994, Fisher sold the property to high-flying Hollywood agent Kevin Huvane, who held onto the place until 2011. The next owner was Roberto Sneider, a member of Mexico’s ultra-wealthy Oberfeld family; it was Sneider who eventually sold the home to Tatum and Dewan.
The current listing gently hints that the existing house, a shingle-sided, vaguely Cape Cod affair, is a prime candidate for an extensive remodel or perhaps even a total teardown. Still, the three-level structure’s unstaged interiors reveal a variety of luxe spaces, including a combo living/dining room with double-height ceilings and direct access to the exterior gardens, a gourmet kitchen with marble countertops and top-of-the-line stainless appliances, and a wood-paneled bonus room that could be a gym or media room.
Also on the estate are an upstairs master suite and four guest rooms, plus a standalone “artist studio.” But the bonafide star of the real estate show is out back, where there are vast gardens, grassy lawns shaded by ancient oaks, and extensive decking for grand-scale al fresco entertaining. The freeform swimming pool boasts a raised spa and Baja shelf for watery sunbathing.
Of course, Tatum and Dewan, long ago went their separate real estate ways — Dewan to a $4.7 million mansion in Encino, Tatum to a $5.6 million rustic farmhouse in Brentwood’s Mandeville Canyon. Rayni Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates and Laura Brau of Compass hold the listing.
