Bob Saget’s Designer-Done Brentwood Home Lists for Sale

Roughly five months after his sudden death at age 65, the longtime Los Angeles compound of Bob Saget — he the comedian-actor best known for his role as widowed father Danny Tanner on “Full House,” as well as host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” — has popped up for sale. Listed with Saget’s nephew, Adam Saget of Compass, the Brentwood estate is asking nearly $7.8 million, as was first reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Saget acquired the 1960s spread some 19 years ago for about $2.9 million, moving in with his three daughters and later living there with his second wife, Kelly Rizzo. Just prior to his tenure, the premises underwent an extensive renovation by Douglas Busch of Busch Design Build, replete with more than 6,600 square feet of modern and light-filled living space boasting stone and hardwood floors, three fireplaces and Elan smart-home technology throughout.

Tucked securely away behind double gates and lush greenery, on over a quarter-acre parcel near the Getty Center, the two-story stucco structure is accessed via a circular driveway that empties into a spacious motorcourt flanked by a detached three-car garage. Nestled behind the garage is a separate one-bedroom guesthouse with full bath that, per the listing, could ideally serve as a studio, office or gym.

A glassy front door opens into the five-bedroom, six-bath main house, which is highlighted by a spacious fireside living room with skylights and a two-sided stacked-stone fireplace that connects on the other side to a formal dining room. Other standout features include family/media rooms and a guest bedroom, plus a gourmet kitchen outfitted with an eat-in island, high-end stainless appliances, a walk-in pantry and breakfast nook.
